But I think it is an effective reminder of how bad war is for everyone involved. I don't think there's really too much of a "twist" and even the ending wasn't particularly surprising to me. The game clearly takes place in the warped psyche of Walker and his interpretation of events. However instead of celebrating your character for being a war hero and soldier it explores the real victims of endless war in the middle east and also looks deep into the mental state of soldiers in that endless war. Mechanically it is a basic shooter and really isn't anything special.
